Glock handguns are identified by generation number and model, and subsequently by size, which includes how they fit into the following categories: Standard, Compact, Subcompact, Slimline, Competition, Long and Crossover.
Glock 43 Vs. 19: Which Should You Choose?
Standard Glocks are complete pistols designed for office and home defense. Barrel lengths are 4.49 inches and 4.61 inches, depending on grade. Glocks are the most commonly sold handguns and strike the right balance between size, weight and control.
Agreement is a relative term. These Glocks are still quite large with a barrel length of 4.02 inches and arms that fill your hand. They allow slightly shorter barrels and barrels to be easier to conceal and more comfortable to carry while maintaining control of the weapon. That being said, this is a popular size category of bullets.
Subcompact Glocks are designed for concealed carry and backup weapons. These rifles feature ultra-short frames and barrel lengths range from 3.43 inches to 3.78 inches, depending on the barrel. These guns are ideal for carrying and concealing in almost any way.
These little beauties are meant to be hidden. Glocks slimline pistol design is ultra compact, accurate and comfortable for all shooters regardless of hand size. It features an integral beavertail body, reduced grip texture for easy control, and a redesigned magazine catch.
Glock 43 Vs. Glock 19
Larger than full size, we are talking about a gun specially made for shooting competitions. They have standard size boards but longer slides and barrels. A longer slide and barrel allows for a larger sight radius and higher velocity, as well as less recoil and muzzle flip.
Crossover Glocks are a combination grip with a compact slide. The plan was originally launched for the MHS competition, but has also become popular in the civilian sphere. Glock is also considering a G43X crossover, but it's also a single stack, so Glock's dimensions remain controversial.

The history of the Glock is quite remarkable considering the man who assembled the gun knew next to nothing about pistol design. Gaston Glock sold cane sticks and knives to the Austrian military and the parts were known as injection molding. His team created the Model 17 pistol to help the Austrian military in need of a new sidearm, and a rifle legend was born. The interesting story is that the "17" represents the 17th patent issued to the Glock Corporation, and this numbering of systems continues to this day.

I'm making a spec sheet for popular models, as well as an extended version that compares all twenty, all shooters in detail. In fact, some of these models are rarely found in gun shops, because they serve very specific purposes (for example: long-range combat, in which the Model 34 excels). Now let's look at each model, but first we need to explain a little. If you look at the table above, you will see "MOS" and "FS" listed after several models. MOS stands for Modular Optical System. The Glock mechanism on this gun is modified by tapping a slot in front of the rear sight to accept a red dot or other mounting plate. It is covered with a hood when not in use.
FS means the engines include front locking. Those rifles marked FS have slide manipulation at the front of the slide in addition to the standard rear axles. Many shooters have asked Glock to add front locks on all new guns. Until now, they used only weapons with FS marking.
