Sig Saur 938 - The SIG Sauer P938 is a subcompact single-action pistol in the 9×19mm Parabellum cartridge manufactured by SIG Sauer and introduced at the 2011 SHOT Show.
Chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum, the P938 is a slightly larger version of the SIG Sauer P238 pistol chambered in .380 ACP. The P938 has a trigger pull of 7.5–8.5 lbf (33–38 N). There is a finger pull under the trigger guard. The grip panels are one of three types of wood, Hogue G-10 Extreme Composite, or rubber in the 'Sport' model. The frame is metal, unlike many other subcompact 9mm handguns. All P938 models have anodized aluminum frames and stainless steel or bare nitron or SIG coated slides.

Recessed magazines hold 6 cartridges, and 7-cartridge magazines are available with pull-outs. The safety is ambidextrous, while the magazine well is only on the left side.

Special versions such as Scorpion, Nightmare, Extreme, Equinox, AG (aluminum grip) and SAS (SIG Anti-Snag) were made, as well as for the Legion series.
The P938-22 version is chambered in .22 long rifle and features a 10-round magazine, alloy slide, and black hard jacket. The P938-22 is available in Standard and Target packages. Some new Legion pistols were introduced in early 2019. Well, a few readers have asked me what the "Legion" series of Sig Sauer pistols are. So recently Sig introduced the new Sig Sauer P938 with Legion updates and many extras. This is a 9mm single action 1911 micro pistol for concealed carry. And with its 3-inch barrel, it fits into my “subcompact” category. Having purchased the Sig P938 a few years ago, recognizing its accuracy, and having it in my carry range, I had to review the new and improved Sig P938 in the Legion series. Several of my readers and shooters have told me that they love their first concealed carry version of the 938, as I do, because of the small footprint, accuracy, nice trigger, and carry sizes. hidden
My goal was to get a firsthand look at the new 938 Legion changes and upgrades and take it to the field to test and evaluate them. Following my own "Try before you buy" advice, I had to get my hands on it and test it out on myself and others. Has motivational pressure improved significantly? Are the new daytime and nighttime attractions as good as they say? Are the upgrades and changes worth the extra price?
By my very rough calculations, these extras add up to just over $1,000. Trigger upgrades, PVD coatings, dice, sights, grips and more will add up before you know it. They don't call me “Mr. Thrifty" without justification.
